BIO

Velina manages PhD in Nursing Program and pre- and post award external funding for the College of Nursing & Health Sciences. In her role she collaborates with Graduate Program Director to enforce efficient operation of PhD program and with Director of Urban Family Health/Associate Dean for Research to establish top-notch research based unit at the College level. Velina initiates, coordinates, and executes marketing activities for the PhD Program and College research events and serves as liaison among various on and off-campus entities. She earned her master's degree in Business Administration from UMass Boston in 2003.
